18 32 050 Removing and installing/replacing catalytic converter (N55) (X6 xDrive 35i, X6 sDrive 35i)

Only perform this repair work after the exhaust system has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove REINFORCEMENT PLATE .
- Remove rear underbody protection.
- Remove EXHAUST SYSTEM .
NOTE:
The oxygen sensors are in danger of being damaged when the catalytic converters are removed and installed.
Release clamp (1).
Tightening torque 18 31 2AZ .
Installation note:
Clean sealing surface. Replace clamp and gasket.
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 18 20 1AZ .
Unscrew nuts (2).
Tightening torque 18 20 4AZ .
Feed out catalytic converter and remove.
Reassemble the vehicle.
Check exhaust system for leak tightness.
