Removing and installing/replacing C-pillar storage compartment at bottom left or right (X6 2015-2019)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove DOOR SILL COVER STRIP AT REAR .
- Remove C-PILLAR COVER at bottom.
- Remove REAR SEAT .
Removal:
Detach edge protection (1) in area of storage compartment (2).
Remove mat insert (3) from storage compartment (2) and release screws underneath (4).
Detach storage compartment (1) in direction of travel from retaining clips and the clips (2).
Installation:
NOTE:
If necessary, release clamps (2) from vehicle.
Install storage compartment (1) with preassembled clips (2).
Install storage compartment (1) with preassembled clips (2).
Latch storage compartment (1) into clips (2).
Fasten edge protection (1) in area of storage compartment (2).
Tighten down screws (4).
Place insert mat (3) into storage compartment (2).
Required follow-up work:
- Install REAR DOOR SILL COVER STRIP .
- Install TRIM FOR C-PILLAR AT BOTTOM
- Install REAR SEAT .
