12 51 245 Replacing wiring harness section for engine and transmission module (N20 hybrid drive)

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life 
Compliance with the following points is mandatory before beginning work:
IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Overview of the wiring harness section for the engine transmission module:

Unlock and loosen all connectors (1).

Unlock and disconnect following connectors and lines   
Unlock and disconnect connector on DME control unit  
Unlock connector on air conditioning compressor and disconnect  
Unlock connector on toothed belt starter motor and pull off  
Release ground cable of crankcase  
Unlock and disconnect connector for wiring harness section of engine sensor system module 1  
Release and pull off connector from automatic transmission  
Release and pull off connector from transfer box  

Release wiring harness if necessary from existing clips and clamps.

Feed out wiring harness and remove.

Installation note: 

Check the wiring harness installation arrangement.

Check that the plug connections are correctly fitted.

Check stored error/fault messages.

Delete the fault memory.

Installation:

Attach and lock connector (1).

All connectors (1) must engage audibly.

Unlock and disconnect following connectors and lines   
Connect and lock the connector of the DME control unit.  
Connect and lock the connector from the air conditioning compressor.  
Connect and lock the connector from the toothed belt starter motor.  
Tighten ground cable of crankcase.  
Connect and lock connector for wiring harness section of engine sensor system module 1.  
Connect and lock the connector from the automatic transmission.  
Connect and lock the connector from the transfer box.
