Preliminary work:
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER
- Uninstall cover for the DME control unit
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION
- Refer to REMOVING REINFORCEMENT PLATE
- Drain the engine oil (remove the full-flow oil filter)
- Disconnect all battery ground leads
- Refer to DRAINING THE COOLANT FROM THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE COOLING SYSTEM
- Refer to DRAINING THE COOLANT FROM THE LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLING SYSTEM
- Disconnect the connector from the DME control unit and from the power distribution module (PDM)
- Refer to REMOVING THE INTEGRATED POWER SUPPLY MODULE (PDM)
- Refer to REMOVING THE DME CONTROL UNIT
- Refer to REMOVING THE HOLDER FOR THE DIGITAL MOTOR ELECTRONICS-CONTROL UNIT
- Refer to REMOVING TRAILING LINK AT SPRING STRUT DOME
- Remove the sound insulation on the bulkhead upper part center
- Remove ACOUSTIC COVER AT REAR
- Refer to REMOVING TANK VENT VALVE
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1). Loosen screws (2). Remove charge air line from throttle body and place to one side.
- Refer to REMOVING THE INTAKE PLENUM
- Refer to REMOVING THE AUXILIARY COOLANT PUMP
- Release the coolant feeder hose from the connecting bracket. Refer to first illustration under procedure REMOVING CONNECTING BRACKET ON ENGINE BLOCK .
- Refer to REMOVING FULL-FLOW OIL FILTER
Follow-up work:
- Refer to INSTALLING FULL-FLOW OIL FILTER
- Tighten the oil drain plug to 25 Nm
- Tighten the oil filter cover as needed (tightening torque: 25 Nm)
- Connect the coolant feeder hose to the connecting bracket
- Refer to INSTALLING THE AUXILIARY COOLANT PUMP
- Refer to INSTALLING THE INTAKE PLENUM
- Fasten charge air line to the throttle body
- Refer to INSTALLING THE TANK VENT VALVE
- Refer to INSTALLING ACOUSTIC COVER AT REAR
- Install the sound insulation on the bulkhead upper part center
- Install tension strut on spring strut dome. Jointing torque: 56 Nm, angle of rotation: 90° NOTE: Replace screws.
- Refer to INSTALLING THE HOLDER FOR THE DIGITAL MOTOR ELECTRONICS-CONTROL UNIT
- Refer to INSTALLING THE DME CONTROL UNIT
- Refer to INSTALLING THE INTEGRATED POWER SUPPLY MODULE (PDM)
- Connect the connector to the DME control unit and the power distribution box (PDM)
- Refer to CONNECT THE COOLANT HOSE TO THE RADIATOR OF THE LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLANT CIRCUIT
- Refer to CONNECT THE COOLANT HOSE TO THE RADIATOR
- Refer to FILLING THE LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLING SYSTEM WITH THE VACUUM FILLER DEVICE
- Refer to FILLING THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE COOLING SYSTEM WITH THE VACUUM FILLER DEVICE
- Refer to INSTALLING ACOUSTIC COVER
- Install cover for the DME control unit
- Connect all battery ground leads
- Refer to BLEEDING THE LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLING SYSTEM
- Refer to BLEEDING THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE COOLANT SYSTEM
- Check engine oil level and top up oil as necessary
- Refer to INSTALLING REINFORCEMENT PLATE
- Install the front underbody protection
