51 21 280 Removing and installing or replacing door brake on left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks

Close door windows
Remove FRONT DOOR TRIM
Remove SOUND INSULATION in front area

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 13AZ .

Remove H-strut (2).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 16AZ .

Remove adapter for door speaker (2).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 17AZ .

Remove power window motor (2) from pole retainer (3).

Power window motor (2) remains in door (4).

NOTE: Secure front door against falling closed.

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 9AZ .

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 21 10AZ .

Remove seal (3).

Installation:

Seal (3) must not be damaged.

Remove door retainer (1) via cutout (2).

Installation:

Following parts of door retainer (3) must not be damaged:

Hinge
Thread
