63 31 165 Removing and installing/replacing center console LED

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Unclip trim (1) forwards from instrument panel trim (2).

Unlock and disconnect associated connector.

Lever out latch mechanism (1).

Pull out LED module (2).

Installation:

Installation note:

Clips and guides on trim (1) must not be missing or damaged.

Lever out latch mechanism (1).

Thread in LED module (2).

Installation note:

Latch (1) must not be missing or damaged.

Make sure LED module (2) is seated correctly.

Connect associated connector.

Clip trim (1) into instrument panel trim (2).
