63 21 183 Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear light (on tailgate)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Partially remove TRIM PANEL FOR TAILGATE

Slacken nut (1).

Disconnect plug connection (2).

Installation note:

For special version Softclose:

Release screws (3) and slide drive for Softclose (4) slightly rearwards.

Carefully lift rear light (1) toward the rear and remove from rear lid (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Make sure bracket (1) is correctly seated.

Guides (2) of rear light (3) must not be damaged.

Replacement:

If necessary, remove BULBS .
