54 12 193 Replacing carriage for water channel on left and right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Move back gate (1) as shown until the end stop (2) is free.

NOTE: Make sure that both carriages for the water channel are pushed back as well.

If necessary, secure carriages for water channel with a cord so that they can be pulled back out again later on.

Lift out end stop (2).

Move gate (1) to recess (2).

Hold onto lever (1) firmly.

Move gate (2) until it is in vent position.

Lever control lever (1) out of guide rail and turn.

Reach between the slide/tilt sunroof unit and roof and pull out carriage (1) up to the recess.

Feed out carriage (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Insert carriage (1) in recess and push to rear.

Fold control lever (1) towards rear and insert in guide rail.

NOTE: Spacer (1) of control lever must lie in guide rail.

Move gate (1) towards rear.

Press lever (2) downwards so that it enters the rail correctly in area (A).

NOTE: Make sure that both carriages for the water channel are pushed back as well.

If necessary, secure carriages for water channel with a cord so that they can be pulled back out again later on.

Move gate (1) towards rear until recess for stop (2) is exposed.

Insert stop (2).

Move gate (1) to vent position and pull out both carriages for water channel.
