16 19 020 Removing and installing/replacing active tank

IMPORTANT: Ensure adequate ventilation in the workbay!
Avoid skin contact (wear gloves)!
Avoid eye contact (safety goggles)!
Urea/water mixture can escape when components carrying urea/water mixture are released. Have a collecting vessel ready.
Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
IMPORTANT: Maintain conditions of absolute cleanliness.
Connections and covers of lines carrying urea/water mixture must be cleaned thoroughly with water after each removal or before each installation!
Thoroughly clean the working area with water after repair work.
Use fluff-free cloths for cleaning.
Close connections and lines!
Thoroughly clean special tool with water after each use.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unlock snap fastener (2) and pull off feed line.

Release hose clamp and pull off fuel filler pipe (3).

Unlock and disconnect snap fastener (4).

Installation note: 

Replace hose clamp (3).

Check correct engagement of snap fastener (1 and 4) by attempting to pull.

IMPORTANT: Support fuel tank (1) with workshop jack across a large area!

Release screws (1) and remove active tank (2) towards bottom.

Installation note: 

Tightening torque: 16 19 1AZ .
