51 16 195 Removing and installing/replacing center armrest

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove CENTER ARMREST STORAGE COMPARTMENT
Automatic transmission models only:
- Remove GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH TRIM

Release screws (2) on trim (1).

Remove trim (1) upwards.

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, illustration does not show gear selector lever.

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 16 4AZ .

Release screws (2) on carrier housing (1).

Raise carrier housing (1) and disconnect plug connection.

Lay aside carrier housing (1) including gear selector switch.

Release screws (2) from center armrest frame (1) and remove frame.

Replacement

REBUILD CENTER ARMREST LOCK .
