51 47 316 Removing and installing/replacing carpet for rear passenger compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Clamp off BATTERY LEAD FROM NEGATIVE CONNECTION POINT
Remove both front seats . See 52 14 001 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, DRIVER'S SIDE or 52 14 002 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, FRONT PASSENGER SIDE
Remove REAR SEAT
Remove TRIM PANEL FOR DOOR POST, BOTTOM left/right
Remove COMPLETE CENTER CONSOLE
Remove cover for central bass speaker . See 65 12 053 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/RENEWING CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER - PASSENGER'S SIDE - (UNDER FRONT SEAT) or 65 12 051 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/RENEWING CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER - DRIVER'S SIDE- (UNDER FRONT SEAT) left/right

Release nut (1) and remove cable (2) from carpet (3).

Feed out carpet (3) to rear/top.

Installation note:

Apertures (1) serve as alignment points when fitting carpet (2).
