84 21 535 Removing and installing (replacing) handsfree charging electronics (optional extra SA644)

NOTE: Comply with notes and instructions on HANDLING OPTICAL FIBRES .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Clamp off BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
IF NECESSARY, REMOVE AMPLIFIER .

Remove left luggage compartment trim panel (1).

Remove luggage compartment flap (2).

Installation:

Make sure cover (1) and flap (2) are correctly seated.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Lift out expanding rivets (2).

Remove left shelf support (3).

Installation:

Expanding rivets (2) must not be damaged.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Remove hands-free charging electronics (3).

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/CODING .
If necessary, log mobile phone on to vehicle.
