51 43 148 Removing and installing or replacing trim on left or right door pillar (top)

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove TRIM PANEL FOR DOOR PILLAR (bottom)
Pull off mucket at front and rear in working area

Release plastic rivets (2).

Pull out lower section of trim panel for door pillar (1) towards bottom and set down.

Unclip upper part of trim panel (2) in marked area (1).

Pull out trim panel (2) downwards.

Installation:

Refit mucket correctly.

Complete removal only:

Release BELT SCREW on front seat.

Feed out belt strap (3) from trim (2).

Installation:

Guides (1) and clips (2) on trim (3) must not be damaged.

Replacement

Modify clips (2) for trim panel (3).
