51 71 480 Removing and installing/replacing cross reinforcement (on rear axle)

Driving without the trailing link is not permitted!

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove TRAILING LINKS ON LEFT AND RIGHT
- Release rear silencer and lower slightly. See EXHAUST SYSTEM (N55) or EXHAUST SYSTEM (N63) .
Release nuts of heat shield (3) and lower heat shield (3).
Unscrew nuts (1).
Tightening torque 51 61 14AZ .
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 61 13AZ .
Remove cross reinforcement (4).
