32 41 250 Removing and installing/replacing oil reservoir for hydraulic steering (AWD with N63 engine)

if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!

IMPORTANT:
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Seal off hydraulic lines with seal plugs.
Seal off hydraulic lines with seal plugs.
Necessary preliminary work
- Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from oil reservoir
- Remove left INTAKE PORT
Disconnect connector (1) from engine control unit.
Release screws (1) from control unit holder.
Lay control unit to one side.
Release screws (1) on the wheel arch and nut (1) on the oil reservoir holder.
Tightening torque 32 41 1AZ/2AZ
Release hose clamp (1) and (3) and pull suction/return line off the oil reservoir.
Detach connector (2) from the level sensor.
Release screw (4) and pull off the oil reservoir in upward direction!
Installation note:
Replace hose clamps.
Tightening torque 32 41 3AZ
Replacement
If necessary, modify level sensor.
After installation
- Fill and bleed hydraulic system. See BLEEDING POWER STEERING UNIT or BLEEDING POWER STEERING (VERSION WITH DYNAMIC DRIVE) .
- Check pipe connections for leaks
- IF NECESSARY, CARRY OUT START-UP OPERATION FOR DYNAMIC DRIVE
