63 31... Removing and installing/replacing fibre optic conductor of front door trim panel (storage compartment)

WARNING: Fibre optic conductors are sensitive (risk of damage). Always handle carefully.

Necessary preliminary tasks 

Fibre optic conductor at bottom of storage compartment 

Remove LED module (2) in direction of arrow from bracket (3).

Carefully pull LED module (2) from fibre optic conductor (1).

Pull out fibre optic conductor (1) by about 10 mm in direction of arrow and unclip from the storage compartment side.

Grasp the end of the fibre optic conductor (1) with finger and unclip in direction of arrow.

Feed out fibre optic cable (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Check fibre optic conductor (1) for damage (scratches or cracks), replace if necessary.
