12 14 526 Replacing pulse generator on right inlet camshaft (N63)

(cylinder bank 1 to 4)

Necessary preliminary tasks

Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
Switch off ignition
Remove right INTAKE FILTER HOUSING

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 21.5 Nm.

Remove pulse generator (3).

Installation:

Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.

NOTE: Now clear the fault memory.
