11 37 006 Removing and Installing/Replacing Left Eccentric Shaft (N63O1)

Special Tools Required:

11 4 480 .

Bank 2

(Cylinder Bank 5 To 8)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove The Engine with FRONT AXLE .
Remove INTERMEDIATE LEVER On Left.
Remove Left SERVOMOTOR .
Remove LEFT INLET CAMSHAFT .

IMPORTANT: All Intake Side Bearing Supports Are Marked and May Only Be Reinstalled At The Same Position.

Unfasten Screws (2 and 3).

Remove Intake Side Bearing Support (1) and Place On Special Tool 11 4 480 In An Orderly Fashion.

Lift Off Eccentric Shaft (1).

IMPORTANT: Risk of Mixing Up The Eccentric Shafts.
Identification: 14 = Cylinders 1 To 4.
Identification: 58 = Cylinders 5 To 8.

Check Fitting Bushes (1) for Damage and Replace If Applicable.

Insert Intermediate Shaft 58 for Cylinders 5-8.

Place Bearing Support (1) In Position.

Insert Screws (2 and 3).

Tightening torque: 11 37 1AZ .

Assemble Engine.

Check Function of DME.
