Fault description

Diagnosis monitors the actual load (air mass flow) in relation to the throttle valve position.

The fault is detected when the mass flow calculated by means of the HFM drops below the calculated mass flow over the throttle valve of cylinder bank 1 by 40 %.

Possible fault cause:

• Mass air flow sensor defective
