Consequential fault, rectify faults relating to the following components or functions:

• Mixture control
• Variable camshaft timing control

• Tank ventilation
• Ignition
• Injection system
• Crankshaft sensor
• Camshaft sensor
• Electromotive throttle actuator
• Hot-film air mass meter

Check lines and plug connections between the following components:

• DME
• Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter

Check whether the oxygen sensors before and after the catalytic converter have been mixed up.

Check crankcase ventilation.

Replace oxygen sensor before catalytic converter.
