65 11 072 Removing and installing/replacing CD changer

Special tools required:

64 0 020
64 1 020

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove RIGHT GLOVEBOX WITH HOUSING
Clamp off BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD

Release screws (1).

Remove CD changer (2) from glovebox.

Replacement:

Unlock side catches (1) on front trim (2) with special tool 64 0 020.

Remove front trim (2) towards front from CD changer.

Disconnect spring (4).

Unlock side catches (5) with special tool 64 1 020 .

Remove front trim (2).

Pull CD changer (3) forwards out of holder.

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND ENCODING .
