51 16 165 Removing and installing complete center console

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on HANDLING WIRING HARNESSES and cables.

Switch off ignition before disconnecting plug connections.

NOTE: Seats are shown removed for purposes of clarity.

Remove rear cover (1) from center console (2) towards top.

Disconnect plug connection underneath.

Release front screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 16AZ .

Unlock and disconnect cable (2).

Release rear nuts (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 16AZ .

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 51 16 17AZ .

Raise center console (3) and unlock and disconnect plug connections underneath.

NOTE: Height of attachment point can be regulated by compensating bush underneath screw connection for center console.

Unclip cable routing (1) from center console (2).

Raise center console (2) and unlock and disconnect plug connections on underside.

Remove center console (2).
