51 16 040 Removing and installing/replacing housing on left or right outside mirror

Special tools required:

00 9 317

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove MIRROR GLASS FOR MIRROR

Using special tool 00 9 317 , press mirror housing (1) off mirror and at same time bend open retaining hooks (3) with suitable tool.

In so doing, always position special tool 00 9 317 close to retaining hooks.

Installation:

Catches (1) on mirror housing (2) must not be damaged.
