51 45 266 Removing and installing/replacing right dashboard cover

Special tools required: 

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

A hard disk is installed in the Car Information Computer (CIC).

Carry out mechanical work on the CIC and adjacent components with care.

Avoid subjecting the CIC to vibration/shocks.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

(Only with Radio Business or Radio Professional equipment specification)

NOTE: Carry out following operation only in case of optional equipment with Car Information Computer (CIC)

Unclip cover (1) with special tool 00 9 323 .

Release screws (1).

Open glove box cover (1).

Release screws (2) at marked points in upper area of glove box.

Lever out cover for insertion slot (1) with special tool 00 9 323 and remove.

Release screw behind.

NOTE: On RHD vehicles, cover of insertion slot (1) is secured with a screw.

Carefully lever out dashboard cover (2) towards front.

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Remove dashboard pipe cover (2).
