65 11 080 Removing and installing/replacing radio

Special tools required:

00 9 323

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

NOTE: Comply with notes and instructions on HANDLING OPTICAL FIBRES .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Clamp off BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD

Pry out trim (1) with special tool 00 9 323 and remove.

Release screws (1).

Pull out radio (2) towards front.

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

If there is a violet aerial connection (1) as well as the black aerial connection (2), additional tasks are required when replacing the radio!

Read and observe REPLACING SATELLITE TUNER .

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
