51 45 261 Removing and installing/replacing left instrument panel trim

Special tools required: 

Unclip instrument panel cover (1) in direction of arrow.

Release screw (1) on trim (2).

IMPORTANT: Tape off working area. Risk of damage!

Painted trims are particularly sensitive to damage.

Lever out trim (1) with special tool 00 9 317 at mounting points (2) and remove.

Unlock plug connection behind and disconnect.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace retainers (1).

Replacement: 

Remove LIGHT SWITCH UNIT .
