33 32 042 Replacing a rubber mount in trailing arm, front

Special tools required: 

NOTE:
  • Version from 03/10 onward, rubber mount (1)
  • Version until 03/10, rubber mount (2)

Installation note: 

  1. All screws, nuts, bolts and hose clamps removed during the repair must be replaced.
  2. Retaining elements on chassis and suspension and steering parts must be replaced.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal of rubber mount, version from 03/10 onward: 

Pull out rubber mount (1) with special tool 00 8 550, 33 3 324, 33 0 161 .

Removal of rubber mount, version until 03/10 

Pull out rubber mount (1) with special tools 33 0 161 , 33 0 162 , 33 3 011 , 33 3 012 , 33 3 013 .

Installation note: 

Keep rubber mount (1) and trailing arm eye clean and free from oil and grease.

Align slot in rubber mount (1) to side member.

Draw in rubber mount (1) with special tools 33 0 161 , 33 0 163 , 33 3 011 , 33 3 012 and 33 3 013 as far as it will go.
