34 52 516 Removing and installing/replacing DSC control unit

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove left SUSPENSION CROSS-BRACE
Disengage heater feed/heater return water hoses from holders

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Carefully detach control unit (1) in direction of arrow from hydraulic control unit (2).

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage to the contacts when removing and installing the hydraulic control unit.

Installation:

Keep sealing faces clean.

Replace screws.

Observe tightening sequence (1-4).

Tightening torque 34 51 1AZ .

Replacement:

Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING
STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ADJUSTMENT
or
Function check of hydraulic control unit
