51 32 420 Removing and installing/replacing trim on front door window frame, left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks 

E53 only: 

Pull rubber window seal (1) out of rear window guide.

Unfasten screws (2).

Lever out trim (3) in outward direction and feed out towards rear.

Installation: 

Moisten rubber window seal (1) with water before fitting.

Make sure rubber window seal (1) is correctly seated.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace faulty plastic nuts (1).

Installation: 

E53 only: 

If necessary, replace faulty clip (1) on trim (2).

If necessary, replace faulty clip (1) on trim (2).
