12 42 605 Replacing positive battery cable between starter motor, E machine electronics and positive battery connection point (N55 Hybrid)

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life! 
The following points must be strictly observed prior to starting work: 

Necessary preliminary work: 

Fold back cover (1).

Release nut underneath. Remove positive battery cable lead (2) from positive battery connection point.

Tightening torque: 12 42 3AZ

Release positive battery cable (1) from cable channel.

Disengage cable channel cover (2) to the left and lift out.

Expose positive battery cable.

Release positive battery cable (1) from cable channel.

Fold back cover (1).

Release nut underneath.

Tightening torque 12 36 5AZ.

Release positive battery cable (2) from clamps.

Release nut (1) on starter motor.

Tightening torque 12 42 2AZ.

Remove positive battery cable from starter motor and pull out.

NOTE:

Reassemble the vehicle.

Check stored fault messages.

Clear diagnostic fault entries from fault memory.
