Fault description

Diagnosis monitors the electrical connection between DME and the intake VANOS solenoid valve 2.

The fault is detected when there is a short to positive.

Possible fault cause:

• There is a short to positive on the line from the DME to the intake VANOS solenoid valve 2.
• Intake VANOS solenoid valve 2 defective
