Fault description
Diagnosis monitors the knock sensor for cylinder 3 and 4.
The fault is detected when the knock signal is implausible for the respective operating point. (statistical evaluation therefore no threshold)
Possible cause of fault:
- Check screw connection at knock sensor
- Wiring harness between DME and knock sensor defective
- Knock sensor faulty
