Fault description

Diagnosis monitors whether the signal from the charge air temperature sensor, cylinder bank 1, is too high.

The fault is detected when the charge air temperature is 24 K above the coolant temperature and the ambient temperature close to the coolant temperature.

Possible fault cause:

• Manipulation of the sensor signal, shunt on sensor
