Fault description

Addition to fuel system diagnostics, which monitors the oxygen sensor control factor. This function is active in both the adaptation phases and in the tank ventilation phases because this is a requirement of the authorities (CARB = California Air Resources Board).

The fault is detected if the max. mixture control threshold (30%) is exceeded for 50 seconds. Cylinder bank 2

Possible fault cause:

• Mixture too lean

1. intake plenum

   Fault, pressure sensor before and after the throttle valve

2. intake plenum exhaust apparatus
   1. Leak in exhaust system
   2. One catalytic converter completely closed!
3. Fuel path

   faulty fuel injector (mechanical)
