Fault description

Addition to fuel system diagnosis that monitors the lambda controller. This function is active in both the adaptation phases and in the tank ventilation phases because this is a requirement of the authorities (CARB = California Air Resources Board).

The fault is detected when the maximum mixture controller limit (30%) is exceeded for 50 seconds. Cylinder bank 1

Possible fault cause:

• Mixture too lean

1. intake plenum

   Pressure sensor fault before and after the throttle valve

2. intake plenum exhaust apparatus
   1. Leak in exhaust system
   2. One catalytic converter completely clogged!
3. Fuel path

   faulty fuel injector (mechanical)
