51 24 133 Removing and installing/replacing drive for Automatic Soft Close drive on tailgate

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove TOP COVER FROM TAIL PANEL
Remove FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL ON LEFT

Pull out electric motor (1) from fixtures (2).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unhook Bowden cable (2) on tailgate lock (3).

Feed Bowden cable (1) out of clamps (2).
