11 61 050 Removing and installing intake plenum (N20, N26)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect BATTERY EARTH LEAD .
Remove ACOUSTIC COVER

Unlock and pull off all connectors (1) from the DME control unit (2).

Release all wiring harnesses attached to intake plenum.

Release screws and remove DME control unit.

Tightening torque: 12 14 1AZ .

Press and hold lock (1) of tank ventilation line (2).

Pull off tank ventilation line (2).

Detach plug connection (1) at tank vent valve (2).

Release tank ventilation lines from tank vent valve and throttle body.

Detach tank vent valve (2) from mounting.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on throttle valve drive.

Unlock connector (1) and remove.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unlock snap fastener (2).

Pull off charge air duct from throttle body.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque: 11 61 1AZ .

Release cable strap under intake plenum with a suitable tool.

Installation note:

Check all profile seals, replace if necessary.

Replace all gaskets.

Assemble engine.
