31 11 040 Removing and installing/replacing stiffening plate

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove underbody protection at FRONT and REAR .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque: see 2AZ in 31 10 FRONT AXLE SUSPENSION

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque: see 15AZ in 51 61 REINFORCEMENT, BODY .

Remove stiffening plate (reinforcement plate) (3).

Installation note: 

Replace screws.
