Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when the lower travel stop is not reached during the start test.

Potential problem source(s):

• Throttle valve operation impaired by contamination
• Defect in wiring harness between throttle-valve actuator motor and DME
• Defective throttle valve

  Terminal condition: Terminal 15

  Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

  Temperature condition:

• Intake air temperature > -10 °C
• Coolant temperature > -10 °C
• Coolant temperature < 142 °C

  Time condition:

• 5 sec.

  Other conditions:

• Engine off, no convenience start, because start test is then aborted
