Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the charge-air temperature is more than 15°C above the maximum of coolant and ambient temperature.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness
- Charge-air temperature sensor defective
- Defective DME
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- When the engine is started the ambient temperature must exceed -7.5 °C and be less than 35.3 °C,
Time condition:
- Drive over 40 km/h more than 120 sec.
