Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when an open wire is present.

Potential problem source(s):

• Defect in wiring harness between DME and map-controlled thermostat
• No voltage supply to map-controlled thermostat
• Characteristic map thermostat defective

Terminal condition: Terminal 15

Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

Temperature condition:

• None

Time condition:

• 3 sec.

Other conditions:

• none
