51 71 447 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Trim Panel For Cover On Left Or Right Side Member

Necessary preliminary tasks

Release expanding rivets (1) and screws (2).

Release screws (1).

Unclamp panel (1) at front.

Unclip the rear trim panel (1) at the holder (2).

Open the door and remove the trim panel (1) in direction of arrow and remove.

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (1) on holder (2) must not be damaged.

Installation note:

If necessary, detach holders (1) from body and fit on trim panel (2).

If necessary, replace faulty holders (1).
