Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

8 seconds after Terminal 15 off the main relay contacts must open and the voltage at the DME must return to 0V. If this does not occur, the contacts are sticking or an electrical malfunction is present.

Potential problem source(s):

• The control-activation wire is shorted to ground.
• The contacts in the relay are sticking closed.

Terminal condition: none

Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

Temperature condition:

• None

Time condition:

• When fault occurs a diagnostic fault code is logged after 8.9 sec.

Other conditions:

• Terminal 15 off
