Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when the oil-pressure switch fails to ground when the engine is switched off.

Potential problem source(s):

• Oil pressure switch defective

Terminal condition: none

Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

Temperature condition:

• 60 °C < engine oil temperature or < 150 °C

Time condition:

• 3 sec. after engine off

Other conditions:

• none
