Test condition:

The fault is recognized when the coil has no ohmic or inductive resistance owing to short circuit, allowing current to build more quickly and to higher levels.

Potential problem source(s):

• Short circuit to Terminal 1 in power supply
• Defective ignition coil
• Defective DME
