Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when a control-activation signal is transmitted to the EVAP evaporative emission valve and the circuit is open.

Potential problem source(s):

• Defect in wiring harness between DME and EVAP evaporative emissions valve
• No voltage supply to EVAP evaporative emissions valve
• Fuel tank ventilation valve defective

Terminal condition: Terminal 15

Voltage condition:

• Electrical system voltage > 10 V

Temperature condition:

• None

Time condition:

• 0.5 sec.

Other conditions:

• Component must receive activation signal
