Condition for fault identification

Test condition:

The fault is recognized when the I component of the trim controller is greater than -4 %.

Potential problem source(s):

• Collateral fault
• Oxygen sensor 2 forward of catalytic converter defective
• Oxygen sensor 2 behind catalytic converter defective
• Defect in wiring harness to oxygen sensor 2 behind catalytic converter
• Leak in exhaust/muffler assembly
• Defective DME

Terminal condition: Terminal 15

Voltage condition:

• None

Temperature condition:

• Engine temperature > 85 °C

Time condition:

• None

Other conditions:

• Drive at 50 - 80 km/h and moderate RPM
• No additional diagnostic fault codes logged
