12 42 500 Replacing battery positive lead between starter, alternator and battery positive terminal (N54)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Fold back cover (1).

Release nut underneath. Remove battery positive lead (2) from battery positive terminal.

Tightening torque 12 42 3AZ .

Remove protective cap (2) and release nut underneath.

Tightening torque 12 42 1AZ .

Disconnect battery positive lead (3) from alternator.

Unclip battery positive lead (1) from holder (2).

Slacken nut (2).

Tightening torque 12 42 2AZ .

Remove battery positive lead from starter and feed out.

NOTE: Add final details to vehicle.
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
