52 14 392 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right crash-active head restraint (from 09/08)

Switch off the ignition!
Necessary preliminary tasks
- Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE .
- Remove REAR PANEL .
Starting situation:
Head restraint is in the crash position after being triggered.
A triggered head restraint can be recognized by the padded section which has moved upwards.
Unclip PLUG CONNECTION (1) for crash-active headrest from holder.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Lever out sealing cap (1).
Detach omega clip (1).
Press latch mechanism (1) and lift out head restraint (2).
