13 71 000 Removing and installing/replacing the intake silencer housing (N54T)

For E60/E61 the repair work is described in: 

Removing and installing/replacing intake silencer housing

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unclip B+ cable strip (1).

Illustration shows microfilter housing removed for purposes of clarity.

Pull wiring harness mounting (1) up.

Release clamp (1) and detach air intake hose.

Tightening torque 13 71 2AZ .

Release clamp and detach air intake hose.

Tightening torque 13 71 1AZ .

Unlock and disconnect line (1).

Unclip line (1) from air filter housing.

Slightly raise front of intake silencer housing (1) in direction of arrow.

Press rear of intake silencer housing upwards out of mounting points and remove.

Installation note: 

Push rear area of intake silencer housing (1) under B+ cable strip (2) and guide (3).

While doing so, push guide (3) up a little.
